This model is a piece of concept art from a story illustrator Steve Galgas imagined called "The Tin Man's Heart". It's kind of a modern-day fairy tale about a man with an experimental, artificial heart who has to plug himself into electrical outlets every day to keep it going. We collaborated on the design of the model and illustration, which is part music box, part tuba, part plumbing, part time-bomb, part locket- it's both delicate and industrial at the same time.
